Bienvenida, Paula, espíritu.

"Paula" is a great memoir novel by the amazing Isabel Allende!
It's such a beautiful and emotional story! :heart:
It's one of my favourite books, you should read it too!


It's a true story. She wrote it while tending to her daughter Paula who was in a coma. Allende started the book as a letter to Paula, explaining what she was missing so she would not be confused when she came out of the coma. The novel includes both an account of Paula's treatment and Allende's life.

p.s. me and Isabel Allende share the same name! :D

That is a beautiful picture, I love how it shows her pain over her daughter with the scratches, really subtle but a harsh meaning.
I can't wait to read the book, it looks really interesting.

you should definitely read it!! it's such a beautiful and emotional book!! :love:

yes, I used the scratches to show the emotional pain that a mother have while her daughter is in coma, but she can't help in any way... so not only she is helpless, but her daughter is slipping away (she looks at the sea = she wants to go to another world)... and the black and white is to show this other dimension of consciousness...
